EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

2003 - 2004 – In June 2003 I accepted an EOT (extended occasional teacher) which continued until the end of the school year. The EOT involved teaching visual art and drama to approximately 400 grade seven and eight students.

2002 – From January until May I did occasional teaching at the following schools: Roberta Bondar, Woodroffe, Glebe and Ridgemont

2000 - 2002 – I work at the Britannia Gallery part time and established this contact when I created a mural depicting the community in 2000. I ran the Gallery while the owner was away

WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE

1971 -1996 – Spouse to a serving military officer, mother of two children. The relevance of these positions is in the life experience they provided. I lived in four provinces in Canada, as well as Germany, England and Egypt. These experiences resulted eighteen moves over twenty five years. Much of my current art is related to the subject of transition and memory related to relocation and the breaking of bonds.

ART RELATED BACKGROUND / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

After graduating in two thousand and two I joined the artists co- operative Artfuse were I share studio space with thirteen other artists.

2002 November – Celebration Group show at Artfuse

2003 June – Full time position as art and drama teacher intermediate level for one year

2003 July – Group show Britannia Gallery

2003 November – Group show with Artfuse

2004 May – Group show with Artfuse

2004 Oct – Started private classes in watercolour and continued to teach part time in the public school system

2005 April – Participated in Ottawa Tulip Festival painting a five foot three dimensional tulip and showing two paintings at City Hall

2005 June – Group show with Artfuse

2005 October – Show featuring Ottawa artists at Three Galleries in Toronto (Bloor St. in North York)
